The Challenge Ahead The modern business landscape is a dynamic and unpredictable arena, with reputations potentially impacted by every news cycle and social media trend. As a reputation management intern, you will play an instrumental role in helping to protect and enhance our reputation as we navigate sensitive topics and issues - from initial fact-finding and message development to media monitoring and impact assessment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in development of messaging and communication plans
Conduct research on relevant topics and trends
Monitor media and social channels for potential risks
Prepare briefing materials for internal stakeholders
Participate in scenario planning exercise
Assist in analyzing the impact and effectiveness of crisis management strategies
Contribute to regular reports on potential risks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure message alignment and consistency
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
Demonstrated interest in corporate reputation management
Desired Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to analyze complex issues
Understanding of news media and social media landscapes
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Experience with media/social media monitoring and analysis tools is a plus, but not required
