As the EA Technology Communications & Learning team, we are dedicated to educating and celebrating the groundbreaking technology at EA, along with the individuals driving its innovation. Our team, comprised of diverse experts, collaborates with technical teams and leadership throughout the organization to create compelling narratives and programs that promote EA's vision for technology.

As the Communications Lead, you will help connect our people, players and industry to our technology and use your influential communications and storytelling skills to amplify the technology innovations taking place at Electronic Arts. You are a storyteller who is comfortable working across a variety of channels and areas, from HR, Legal and game team partners to planning and execution of creative storytelling and events. As part of a growing technology communications team, you will work with leaders at all levels and contribute to a variety of areas while gaining a range of skills and experience.

The Communications Lead will report to the Senior Director of Global Communications. You may work on-site at an Electronic Arts office (Vancouver) or remote.

Responsibilities

  • You will strengthen connection to our priorities and technology through storytelling.

  • You will develop global messaging, strategies and programs to create awareness of our technology and the people and teams behind it.

  • You will engage with teams across Electronic Arts to evolve our technology content and channel strategy.

  • You will lead external communications strategy and execution.

  • You will partner closely with executives, technologists, partners and subject matter experts in service of technology visibility plans and programs, supporting and managing external-facing communications, media engagement, thought leadership and awards submissions.

  • You will apply your understanding of the interactive entertainment and technology landscapes and use this knowledge to develop creative programs and communications.

  • You will coach leaders on how to tell stories to a global audience.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in PR or external-facing communications with a proven track record of building campaigns and driving outcomes through collaboration and partnership.

  • Expert in driving and creating communication strategies and plans through to execution.

  • Self-starter with demonstrated experience in creating and delivering strategic content and media relations programs.

  • Solid writer across multiple styles of communications.

  • Deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.

  • Experience working across multiple departments and at a global scale.

  • Leadership through influence.

  • Experience working with external communications tools.

  • Experience in the technology, media, gaming or entertainment sectors helpful.

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): ΒΊ $151,800 - $208,900 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
