Role Responsibility Details
You will engage early and often with EA's studio, product development, and marketing teams.
Cultivate collaborative partnerships across EA's studio, product development, product marketing teams and EA's legal teams. Success in this position relies heavily on collaborating with numerous teams and developing trust across those teams.
Bring a deep working knowledge of U.S. and international laws and regulations related to game design, monetization, advertising, in-game content, and technology for console, PC, cloud gaming, mobile games, and subscription-based business models.
You will provide practical, clear and easy to understand legal advice to the business often explaining complex legal advice in business-friendly terms.
You will conduct rights clearance and risk assessment for publishing our games on new platforms and business models.
You will partner with members of EA's legal team to develop policies and guidance supporting EA's game development.
General Qualifications
J.D. or similar educational level for candidates educated outside of the US, and 6+ years' relevant experience including 4+ years of experience working as in-house product counsel at a technology or entertainment company.
Experience counseling product development or entertainment content creation teams working with the production teams, marketing teams, engineering teams, and creative teams.
Demonstrated ability to work independently on diverse matters, successfully lead cross-functional projects, and comfortable finding creative and practical solutions.
Working knowledge of intellectual property, privacy, marketing, and commercial law.
Collaborative by nature and able to build partnerships across diverse teams.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a diverse and complex workload working on legal matters where there may be ambiguity and a lack of legal precedent.
Available to travel as necessary to support the needs of the product teams.
