You will collaborate with many of EA’s top game teams, revolutionizing their experience by upgrading them to cutting-edge Frostbite engine to leverage the latest, innovative features. As a key player in this collective force, you’ll lead the charge in driving improvements and promoting a vibrant exchange of expertise. As the Lead Integration Software Engineer, reporting directly to the esteemed Sr. Software Engineering Manager. Your primary responsibility will ensure a smooth integration of the latest Frostbite technology into our top games, facilitating a seamless transformation process.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility involves collaborating with internal game teams using Frostbite helping them to integrate new versions of the Frostbite engine and to support tooling around integrations. This encompasses several responsibilities, including:
You will lead integration projects and ensure seamless delivery to the game teams
You will merge, develop and debug Frostbite or game code during the adoption process
You will partner with game teams regarding new engine changes and improve the adoption strategy
You will develop metrics to understand progress and mitigate risks
You will identify opportunities within the integration process and propose potential solutions to each game team.
You will communicate the underlying causes of integration challenges
You will mentor and provide technical guidance to other integration engineers to resolve issues
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience with C++, C#
Experience with version control concepts and good practices
Hands-on code development and integration experience
Experience leading a dev team
Experience working with and defining requirements
Experience leading large software development projects
Experience mentoring other software engineers
Experience debugging large-scale systems
It would also be nice if you have
Experience using Perforce
Experience developing with Python
Experience working with distributed teams
Experience with current gaming platforms – PS5, PS4, XBSX, Xbox One, PC
Experience in at least one, multiple, of the following domains – Rendering, Systems, Animation / Cinematic, Audio, AI
