The Positive Play team exists to help EA players have positive, fun, fair, and safe experiences in our games. We are part of the Experience organization.
As the Director of Inclusive Player Experiences for Positive Play, reporting to the Sr. Director of Positive Play Experiences, you will help establish a vision and provide facilitation and guidance to game development teams in creating inclusive experiences for our players. In collaboration with Positive Play leadership, you will establish a benchmark for inclusive design excellence across the product portfolio and through collaboration and influence work to serve our players and developers. You will work with studio and product leadership to guide and champion improvements that help put EA at the forefront of inclusive player experiences for the next generation of players. You will lead inclusive design programs, support development execution, and work with other leaders across EA to achieve the promise of inclusive play for all.
Responsibilities:
Develop a shared vision for inclusive design best practices and principle across EA’s product portfolio
Work with games teams to support their inclusive design needs
Evolve and champion improvements to the current Inclusive Design Framework
Partner with other central teams on execution of Inclusion programs
Manage internal and external inclusion oriented subject matter experts, resources and consultants
Establish baselines for inclusive design excellence, produce metrics on inclusion in our games
Advocate for inclusion and diversity at EA and in the broader games industry community, communicating with internal and external audiences
Qualifications:
5+ years experience as a leader in inclusive design, accessibility and representation in the gaming industry or other relevant social software
Experience in a game development environment
Strategic leadership expertise
Experience presenting and promoting a vision for inclusive design
Experience with inclusive design strategies, technology and reporting processes
Experience managing diverse, high-functioning, happy teams; experience managing product management tasks, managing engineering teams
Experience in a matrixed environment and a passion to unite people behind a common goal
Understanding of the landscape and new inclusion, accessibility and representation developments in new media, tech, and the entertainment industry
US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): $178,100 - $271,700
New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo): $166,700 - $271,700
Jersey City, NJ: $201,800 - $271,700
Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs): $166,700 - $227,900
Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane): $166,700 - $258,200
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
