Distribution Shipping Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily shipping and outbound distribution activities
• Manage, train, schedule, and evaluate shipping team members
• Ensure accurate order fulfillment, packaging, labeling, and documentation
• Monitor shipping schedules to meet retail store and customer delivery deadlines
• Coordinate with carriers, transportation partners, and internal departments
• Resolve shipping issues such as delays, shortages, or damaged goods
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Track shipping performance metrics and prepare operational reports
• Optimize shipping processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Prepare and execute daily replenishment requirements
• Maintain inventory accuracy during outbound processing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse, shipping, or distribution operations
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience mandatory
• Knowledge of shipping systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and logistics processes
• Familiarity with retail and web distribution and carrier requirements
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
