The Sound Designer is responsible for all audio aspects of the project experience. As one of the contributing members of the team, the Sound Designer works closely with other disciplines to assure that the audio compliments and enhances the experience of the gameplay. This position creates audio content for our games that complements and enhances the player experience. The Sound Designer records, processes and implements sound effects to amplify all sorts of in-game events. At the same time, technical skills are required in order to efficiently implement sounds and help develop new features for our Enfusion engine.

Responsibilities

  • Producing high quality audio assets and features
  • Composing, recording, and implementing sound effects to amplify animations and in-game events
  • Being responsible for the quality of delivered audio assets and their correct implementation
  • Managing own sound production to ensure delivery on deadlines and respecting planned work
  • Influencing project design and ideas, prototyping new solutions, features and behaviors of in-game audio
  • Working closely with other disciplines to assure that the audio compliments and enhances the experience of the gameplay
  • Working with voice overs following the whole pipeline from pre-production through recording and editing samples to in-game configuration
  • Creating and maintaining related documentation and tracking progress of work
  • Keeping self up to date with latest news in the audio and game audio industry fields, expanding related skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience creating sound for games
  • Extensive experience with Unreal Engine and its blueprints
  • Experience with audio middleware like Wwise and Fmod
  • Advanced knowledge of many aspects of products related to audio design infrastructure
  • Advanced skills in the areas of recording, mixing, and optimizing audio for effects and environment
  • Advanced understanding of game audio aesthetics and implementation methods
  • Big advantage is ability to read/write script
  • High proficiency with modern computer-based audio production tools such as Reaper, Cubase/Nuendo, etc.
  • Good spoken and written English
