In Overwatch 2, the nations of Earth are under assault. We are seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced Server Infrastructure Engineer who shares our values:

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for writing robust code and an understanding of the challenges involved with providing a stable, scalable platform.

Responsibilities

  • Support and improve the live service, with a focus on stability and scalability.

  • Work side-by-side with QA, design, production, and other specialists to tackle the complexity of an ever-growing platform.

  • Implement server infrastructure changes to support new features and realize the visions of our designers.

  • Perform research to acquire new knowledge necessary to perform tasks and maintain a process of technological evolution.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience

  • Solid understanding of C++

  • Prior development work on distributed systems and client/server architectures

  • Passion for writing clean and understandable code

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of disciplines

  • Enthusiastic about working in a collaborative DevOps environment

Pluses

  • Degree in computer science or a related field

  • Experience with transaction processing systems

  • Experience with databases (Relational or NoSQL)

  • Linux / Unix experience

  • Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs

  • Experience with console certification testing and negative testing

  • Avid Overwatch player

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $37.26 - $68.93 Hourly. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
