We are seeking a Lead Graphics Engineer who is passionate about guiding the architecture for our new rendering engine. You will lead a team of graphics programmers focused on creating cutting-edge technology for Blizzard’s new AAA title. When particularly hard problems arise, you'll draw upon the team's collective creativity to define and execute a technical vision that meets the project's needs.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.
We need help with
Managing, evaluating, and mentoring the engineering staff of the graphics team.
Partnering with the production staff and the rest of the leadership team for milestone planning and tracking development progress.
Providing technical leadership and insight across all areas of the graphics pipeline.
Guiding the design and architecture of new rendering systems.
Maintaining the vision for our rendering engine and ensuring it consists of high-quality, stable, and performant code.
Working across multiple disciplines to plan timelines and feature development.
What you are good at
8+ years of experience, or equivalent education/work experience
Writing fluent C++ code with advanced knowledge of both historical patterns and modern language features.
Shaders, GPU programming, and knowledge of modern rendering pipelines (DirectX12, Vulkan, etc.).
A strong understanding of the GPU architecture, game content pipelines, and tools.
Performance analysis and code optimization.
Caring about the people who work for you, prioritizing their success, and finding ways to motivate and mentor them.
Extra awesome points for
Leading a graphics team in shipping a AAA title.
Experience developing multiple games with major contributions to the graphics engines.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $121,500.00 - $224,880.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
