Activision Blizzard Esports’ Call of Duty League broadcast team is looking for an experienced host, caster or analyst to join our broadcast team.
This talent will work side by side with our internal and external production partners to appear on-air for multiple broadcast products including Call of Duty League, CDL Challengers, CoD Mobile, World Series of Warzone and any potential future products and projects. This role requires extensive preparation and research to couple with extremely strong performative skills during a broadcast. They should be prepared to work with numerous departments including but not limited to broadcast, marketing, content, events, and public relations. Impeccable professionalism and time-management skills are also an absolute must. Must be a highly collaborative teammate in a high-pressure creative environment. Must be comfortable traveling several times a year.
Act as on-air talent for all CDL-related broadcasts, including but not limited to analysis, casting, and player interviews.
Appear as talent for various forms of marketing and content including but not limited to shoulder content, social content and branded content.
Participate in weekly production storyline meetings with producers and other talent
Perform extensive research in preparation of on-air performance.
Act accordingly as an ambassador and representative of the CDL on any and all social platforms.
Appear in potential franchise team endeavors in support of game launch and/or promotion.
Experience appearing on camera in both a live and taped setting
Expert knowledge of the Call of Duty League and the CDL players, coaches, and team staff
Fully understand CDL tournament structure, competing players and game elements
Knowledge of team and player stories, statistics, and interesting storylines
Prior experience working in an esports production as on-air talent (desk host, desk analyst, caster)
Strong work ethic, self-starter, effective communicator
Desire for a full travel schedule
Experience in esports, sports, or entertainment
Experience working in a startup environment
