ZeniMax Online Studios is seeking an UX Designer to join the UX team; aiding development of our next AAA PC/Console project. This is a chance to join an experienced team of veteran developers in pre-production as we create an ambitious new IP on a new cutting-edge AAA Engine.
This role will support the development of both new and existing features, interactions, and internal tooling, shaping the way our players and developers interact with the IP from start to finish. They will collaborate closely with the Lead UX Designer, Visual UI Designer, and Engineering teams to support how players interact with the game and how we communicate information in complex systems.
Responsibilities
Work with the Lead UX designer in shaping the Gameplay User Experience
Work with the Lead UX designer in shaping the Tools User Experience
Design, create, and maintain documentation which meets feature and product goals
Facilitate collaborative discussions in a cross-discipline development environment
Communicate regularly with artists, writers, designers, and engineers
Qualifications
Experience creating complex/deep user experiences for Games, Apps, or Web
Experience working with a large team to deliver shared goals
Experience shipping or launching at least one game or app
Preferred Skills
Degree in UI/UX Design, Game Design, or related field
Solid portfolio of design projects
Experience with Adobe XD/Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator
Understands the fundamentals of a game engine (UE4, Unity)
Experience with agile working environments (Confluence, Jira)
Team spirit; strong interdisciplinary communication and collaboration skills when communicating with stakeholders
Comfortable onboarding to proprietary toolsets
Embraces the iterative mindset, seeking feedback or suggestions
Solid time management skills to handle tasks on their own to their completion
Salary Range
UX Designer - The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $55,000 - $140,000 per year.
ZeniMax has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
