Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to the art team with tools and game engine
Integrate character and prop assets in game engines and/or proprietary tools
Work closely with Project Managers and IT team on collaboration and version control software such as Perforce
Review 3D assets for their technical compatibility and compliancy to all the guidelines
Coordinating with team members from different time-zones
Maintain, Integrate and improve technical pipeline for asset creation
Create technical documentation and training for artists on the production pipeline
Creating 3D Props/environment assets as per art direction
Create technically compliant assets
Creating tileable and unique textures using Substance Painter / Designer
Integration of Substance Designer materials into Unreal
Requirements:
1-3 years of experience as a Technical Artist, with a focus on prop creation, texturing and integration.
Solid understanding of Unreal Engine and Unity
Solid understanding of character rigging and skinning
Proficiency in industry-standard art tools such as Maya, Substance Painter, Substance Designer and Zbrush
Strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges efficiently.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong art background and passion for hand painted texture is a big plus.
Basic knowledge of programming or scripting for shader and/or tool creation is a big plus.
Additional Requirements:
Availability for full-time work (40 hours/week).
Located in Quebec City or willing to relocate.
Able to work physically from our studio in Quebec City.
