To this end, we are seeking an experienced Junior Level Designer who can join our team and help pave the way towards our new goals.

Responsibilities

As California studios are continuing to grow with new and exciting opportunities for Console & PC titles, we are seeking to add full-time positions to the Design Team to work with our Design Director and create excellent gameplay experiences for our various projects.

We are looking for someone who will help design and build level content for 3rd Person action-adventure games. As a Jr. Designer, you will be supporting a Sr Designer on level content creation for various projects. You’ll be working in a collaborative environment with our design team, learning how to build AAA content while furthering your own design skills in the process.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about video games and gaming and should be excited about starting a career as a game designer, has a proven work ethic, listens and takes direction well and already has experience designing content in Unreal Engine or similar. Qualifications for this role are listed below, but please do not hesitate to apply if you don’t meet 100% of them.

  • Supporting a primary designer on level design content.

  • Building your skills in Unreal Engine through firsthand experience and in-house training.

  • Learning the game development process at Virtuos.

  • Content playtesting and offering feedback.

Qualifications

  • A strong portfolio of game design or level design content.

  • Excels in visual, written and verbal communication.

  • Proactive approach to identifying issues and developing solutions.

  • Passion for both gaming and game development.
