The Journalism department is seeking an Associate Lecturer in Esports who can support our learning and teaching to second-year undergraduate Journalism students.
We are seeking someone who either has professional experience of working as a journalist reporting on Esports or someone who has a strong grasp of recent developments within Esports and can share their knowledge of tournaments and games. You will have experience of producing journalistic content about Esports and will understand how to report the subject and offer contextual information to students. We are interested in exploring how content creators cultivate strong online followings within Esports and examine the variety of mediums on which Esports is covered.
To be successful, you will be confident talking to students, have knowledge of the sector and be able to design learning activities to support the teaching and learning of the BA Football Journalism and BA Specialist Sports programmes.
