Team Lead Programmatic Support Engineer

The opportunity
As a Team Lead for the Programmatic Support Engineers, you will lead and scale a technical operations function that supports platform integrations (DSP, SSP, etc.) across Unity’s exchanges. You will manage and develop a team of Programmatic Support Engineers, setting clear priorities, ownership, and operating standards while driving measurable improvements in platform performance, spend stability, and overall efficiency. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, BI, and Account Management to reduce operational friction and unlock growth opportunities. In doing so, you will gain high visibility across Unity’s programmatic ecosystem, with direct impact on revenue, margin, and partner satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and mentor a team of 6 Technical OMS, including goal setting, performance feedback, and career development.
• Own DSP integration health, including onboarding, upgrades, QPS configuration, throttling rules, and endpoint performance.
• Act as the escalation point for complex issues such as spend drops, delivery gaps, discrepancies, IVT blocks, and bugs.
• Partner with Product, Data Science, and BI to run experiments that improve margin, efficiency, and DSP spend.
• Build and maintain dashboards, documentation, and operating processes to scale support and reduce manual work.

What we're looking for

• Significant experience in programmatic advertising, ad operations, or technical account management, ideally in mobile.
• Prior people management experience, including leading technical or operations-focused teams.
• Strong understanding of DSP/SSP integrations, QPS optimization, throttling, and exchange dynamics.
• Hands-on experience working with SQL, logs, or performance monitoring and telemetry tools.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical projects and translate issues into business impact.

You might also have

• Experience with mobile SDK-based monetization or in-app exchanges.
• Familiarity with IVT filtering, ad quality tooling, or fraud investigations.
• Background in discrepancy resolution or technical support engineering.
• Experience building documentation, tooling, or automation to reduce operational overhead.
