The Ubisoft Data Office – Domain Enabling team is looking for a Technical Team Leader to join their ranks. This role calls for a seasoned engineer with expertise in designing and developing cutting-edge Data Warehouse solutions. You'll have the opportunity to lead and mentor a talented, globally distributed team of data engineers.
As a Technical Team Leader, you'll be at the forefront of designing, building, maintaining, and optimizing complex data pipelines and data warehouse models. You'll ensure data is accessible and of high quality for analytics, while inspiring your team to enhance their technical and soft skills. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with the Product Owner to meticulously detail project tasks for individual missions, making a significant impact on the team's success and the overall project execution.
Main mission
Coach the team and also act as an individual contributor if it’s needed, in order to:
Design, build, maintain and optimize complex data pipelines (ETL jobs), and related data warehouse models / objects / architectures;
Ensure that data is accessible, clean, and usable for analytics
Test the solutions implemented and analyze potential data quality issues to determine the root cause;
Ensure that formal documentation is produced for all development tasks;
Contribute to the agile ceremonies and other project meetings / workshops and provide the necessary inputs to support the project planning and execution;
Communicate and collaborate with the business partners; ability to present technical artefacts to a non technical audience, adapting the vocabulary accordingly.
Accompany & motivate the Team to grow their technical and soft skills, in order to reach their full potential
Evaluate the performance of team members
Facilitate team-level alignment on common development & deployment practices
Details the project tasks in collaboration with the PO for each individual mission.
Qualifications
The professional value you bring:
Proven extended experience on any major RDBMS (preferably Cloud solutions), e.g. Snowflake, Teradata, Sql Server, Oracle, etc.:
designing and developing Data Warehouse solutions
writing SQL code to support complex ETL processes
Experience with data pipelines orchestration tools, e.g. Airflow
Experience with modern DataOps practices - code versioning, CI / CD, Unit testing, Release Management, etc.
Experience working in high performing teams through the entire data development lifecycle, in a mature Agile Scrum context.
