Ubisoft Barcelona, part of Ubisoft’s international network of production studios, has developed for over 20 years a strong expertise in the production of videogames from a large variety of genres and platforms. During these years, the studio worked on the following franchises: “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon®”, “Assassin’s Creed®” , “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege” or “Star Trek™: Bridge Crew” on VR…

The team is currently working on the “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege” Live Game, "Beyond Good & Evil 2" and unannounced AAA projects.

Job Description

  • Participate in the development of technology road maps for the specific needs of the project

  • Maintain a balance between the creative vision of the projects and the technical budget restraints

  • Collaborate with team leads to identify and develop art production processes and technologies that meet artists needs for creating high quality art with limited resources and Assist the team in any technical issue related with the art pipeline

  • Become the Go-To person for engine art related topics (Be a reference for the team in relation to technical art and find solutions to complex issues that arise)

  • Prepare the Technical Setup along with proper documentation

  • Perform Technical Validation of the assets produced by the team ensuring it meets the technical requirements

  • Creation and maintenance of tools for the team

Qualifications

  • At least, 3 years of experience working as TA. Experience in AAA will be appreciated.

  • Extensive knowledge about the art pipeline. From the asset creation tools to the loaded level in a game

  • Knowledge of art related software, such as Substance package, 3DsMax, Blender, Photoshop. specially plugin programming (exporters, importers, content processors, etc)

  • Experience with comercial game engines, such as Unity or Unreal (??)

  • C# Scripting Skills. XAML or tool development experience is a plus.

  • Self-organized, used to work with Jira.

  • Proactive and problem solver.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and great verbal and written communication skills in English
