Job Description

As a Senior UI Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of UI features and systems. You will be able to demonstrate strong programming skills in C++, along with a passion for making games with the highest quality of user experience and accessibility features. You will have some experience in mentoring or managing other UI engineers.

YOUR ROLE

  • Develop UI features and systems

  • Manage a small team of UI Engineers, and mentor them to assist in their skill development

  • Collaborate with UI designers to develop the user experience

  • Create and maintain technical design documents

  • Self-manage programming task schedule updates and coordinate with production team

  • Review user interface and optimize performance and resource utilization

  • Consult with UI designers to ensure best performance and user experience

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • A passion for UI/UX

  • 5+ years programming experience in C/C++

  • Prior experience in managing or mentoring other engineers

  • Shipped at least 2 games in a UI Engineering role on Game Console or PC

  • Must have experience working on AAA games

  • Previous collaboration with designers and artists to implement the vision of the game

  • Experience with Game Console development is highly regarded, though not mandatory
