Job Description

Ubisoft, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a full-time Senior Manager Financial Planning, Marketing (M/W/NB) to lead a team responsible for the annual plan and budgeting process of marketing investments across Ubisoft’s Publishing organization. This individual will be located in Paris and report to the Senior Director Financial Planning.

Responsibilities:

Budgeting and Forecasting of Marketing Expenses

  • Lead Publishing’s global tracking, forecasting and annual plan of key franchise marketing budgets

  • Coordinate with other teams to ensure timely completion of business plan deliverables

  • Collaborate with Transversal Marketing and Finance Analytics teams to understand and validate marketing business assumptions. Support marketing executives to create investment prioritization.

  • Analyze historical benchmarks to recommend marketing investment and the allocation to local markets

Reporting

  • Perform consolidation and reconciliation of company-wide Marketing expenses and financial KPIs for a comprehensive spend view

  • Develop monthly reporting and variance analysis for business partners and executive team

  • Act as liaison with Corporate Finance team regarding financial performance, communicate key drivers, risks and opportunities as well as underlying planning assumptions

Development and Maintenance of Marketing System Landscape, Methods and Processes

  • Drive continual process improvement leveraging best practices, standardization, and automation to improve the effectiveness of financial planning and forecasting activities

  • Develop analytical tools, automated reporting systems, dashboards, and models to help track, assess, and optimize financial performance

  • Build, maintain and improve financial systems in collaboration with IT

  • Work closely with worldwide marketing and finance teams to harmonize and streamline finance processes and data structures across the Publishing business entities

  • Serve as business champion on finance-related global projects

  • Manage intercompany rebills for Marketing spend according to transfer pricing guidance

Team Management

  • Lead a team of three members. Provide development coaching to direct reports to improve quality and standard of general work products. Drive execution within tight time constraints

Qualifications

  • First management experience

  • Advanced proficiency in financial analysis & financial modeling

  • Advanced Excel skills and data manipulation of large, multi-dimensional data sets. Experience in data visualization tools and programming language is a plus.

  • Action oriented individual with excellent time and project management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication capabilities

  • Able to foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork and strong inter-team and cross function cohesiveness and alignment

  • Problem solver with hands-on mentality, big picture thinker and keen attention to detail with excellent analytical skills

  • Fluency in English is a must have
