Ubisoft, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a full-time Senior Financial Accountant for its Accounting Department. Our ideal candidate can multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently under tight deadlines and perform at high levels in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment. The position is based in San Francisco, CA or Atlanta, GA and will report to the Sr. Manager of GL Accounting. 

What you’ll do:

  • Support general ledger accounting functions including but not limited to journal entry preparation, month-end close processes, financial reporting accuracy, GL account reconciliations, and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.

  • Responsible for the monthly maintenance, reconciliation, reporting, and analysis of professional dues and services, tax related entries, intercompany rebilling and expenses, royalty and other GL accounts. Process, analyze, and document complex transactions. Perform accounting research and investigation as needed.

  • Manage bank account reconciliations and the interest/fees, FX and cash pooling entries.

  • Provide detailed flux and variance analysis of PnL statements and Balance Sheets on monthly basis and present findings in the flux review meetings.

  • Collaborate with France HQ to reconcile intercompany entries within PeopleSoft and Oracle HFM reporting systems for multiple business units. Coordinate timely preparation of monthly reporting deliverables.

  • Facilitate the renewal/creation of process documentation for existing accounting procedures and policies. Draft process narratives, flowcharts, or accounting memos to support training or internal control purposes.

  • Proactively coordinate with internal business partners, including but not limited to: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Revenue Accounting, Tax, Finance (FP&A), and IT/Business Intelligence - communicate guidance for proper accounting standards/goals and take initiative for improvement of current accounting processes.

  • Work with internal and external auditors to prepare deliverables in accordance with the financial statement audit or other ad-hoc audits.

  • Work with Manager and/or Controller on other ad-hoc analysis or projects as requested.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong experience in corporate accounting, or with a public accounting firm.

  • Solid knowledge of financial accounting concepts, US GAAP and IFRS, and intercompany transactions.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with business partners and levels of management in a professional and effective manner.

  • Experience with accounting research and memos.

  • Excellent command of Excel and manipulating large data sets.

  • Prior experience with business intelligence software and ERP systems.

  • Strong quantitative analysis skillset, with the ability to read, analyze, interpret and explain complex financial data.
