Job Description
At Ubisoft, there’s creativity aplenty. Given the tremendous talent and expertise behind each of our projects, great ideas flow from every direction, and it takes a good artistic eye to make sense of them.
As the Realization Director, guided by the instructions of the creative director and driven by a desire to make people dream, you will take the best from these inspirations to create a unique atmosphere and original tone for a game.
You will communicate this vision to all the teams working on the project so that it is reflected in their creations. Thanks to your insight, you will be the glue that holds all aspects of production (narration, visuals, gameplay, audio, etc.) together and the leader who ensures that everything related to the game evokes a compelling, engaging, and cohesive high-quality experience.
What you will do:
Ensure that the creative director’s vision is applied by overseeing the elements that make up the tone, mood, and pace of the experience with the various production teams (narrative, world design, level design, gameplay, etc.).
Work closely with the other directors and team leads (creation, graphics, animation, narration, scriptwriting, etc.) to manage the overall realization of the narrative in the game.
Inspire teams with various tools (films, books, mood boards, etc.).
Set goals for the production team and ensure deadlines and quality expectations are met.
Act as a link between teams to put people in touch with the appropriate resources (other teams, external suppliers, etc.).
Direct and propose stagings for the game to amplify the emotions produced by the gameplay.
Support different teams (sound, music, editing, staging, etc.) according to their needs.
Ensure continuity of tone between the playable moments to ensure consistency between the game elements to avoid unevenness.
Balance technical constraints and ambitions to achieve a quality experience.
Provide feedback to and work with the production teams to achieve quality goals in a timely manner.
Qualifications
What you bring:
Extensive experience in games, multimedia, or filmmaking (or other relevant experience).
Familiarity with editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, etc.), motion capture fundamentals, and game engines.
Influence and positive leadership with the ability to get everyone on the same page.
Versatility so you can juggle several files at a time depending on priorities.
Excellent communication skills: you know how to inspire your team and adapt your message to the different departments.
Open-mindedness and a ton of creativity.
The ability to recognize and learn from talent.
A passion for filmmaking and a vast cinematographic culture (knowledge of the application of these fields in the video game world is an asset).

Please provide a portfolio with examples of your previous work/projects if applicable
