Project Support Specialist - XDefiant
We are looking for a highly talented, motivated, and experienced person to work with us on XDefiant, a new multiplatform online multiplayer action game based in our San Francisco studio. XDefiant is a free-to-play, fast-paced arena shooter that combines intense combat with personalized loadouts and specialized factions, as teams battle for domination.
You’ll be working to support the development team, responding to questions and issues raised by the entire team, helping new users get up to speed and assisting developers work through issues. You’ll be identifying places where the tools and product can be improved and coordinating with the development and tools teams to improve the entire XDefiant ecosystem. You will work on a small, collaboration-oriented team where you will have the opportunity to contribute in meaningful ways.
You’ll also be part of the diverse Ubisoft San Francisco team. We embrace a variety of work situations based on what’s best for the team, and we welcome people working in our SF office, remotely from other locations, or some combination of the two. We put a priority on supporting our team members and what makes them happiest and most productive.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assist with first time set-up of various tools and software and educate users on how to use tools across various studios
Respond to user issues and aid in troubleshooting to help resolve them
Investigate problems and work with appropriate teams to determine solutions
Suggest improvements whenever possible, helping to design new tools and processes
Communicate and escalate when submissions are not up to par and need to be removed
Provide live support and triage of crashes, errors, logs/dumps, and server performance to the Online team
Work intimately with engineers, programmers, developers, and testers to help resolve blocking issues and aid in general troubleshooting on the project
Assist in debugging issues across the online servers, editor tools, engine, telemetry, and logs/dumps
Assist in content filtering and test automation efforts
Plan tests on specific areas and improve upon the process throughout the project
Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
QA engineering or equivalent IT experience of at least 1 Year
Experienced with Perforce and Jenkins, Python is a nice plus
Experienced with Grafana and Kibana
Comprehensive experience with JIRA or other bug-tracking systems
Comprehensive experience with Confluence or similar documentation tools
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests
Autonomous, problem-solving, and open-minded attitude
Debugging and analytical skills
Good teamwork abilities

The San Francisco base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 to 72,500. The base pay offered may vary based on a candidate’s geographic region, qualifications, skills and experience among other factors. Compensation details reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, stock options, or benefits.
