Job Description

As a Data Analytics Assistant, you will assist the Sales & Development Analytics team with the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to help answer business questions related to acquisition, retention, monetization, and performance tracking. Working under the guidance of more experienced analysts or team leads, you will assist with reports, dashboards, and straightforward analyses that help teams better understand business trends.

This position is ideal for someone who is curious, AI efficiency driven, analytical, collaborative, and eager to develop their data skills in a business and gaming context. This is a 6-months contract position.

What you'll do

  • Help with collecting, preparing, and analyzing buyer, subscriber, and player data from various sources to support business questions related to acquisition, retention, monetization, and performance tracking.
  • Support cross-functional teams in analyzing key business trends and assessing sales and marketing performance, contributing to the identification of data-driven insights and opportunities.
  • Contribute to documenting SQL queries, processes, methodologies, and findings to support knowledge sharing and data integrity.
  • Lend support on data management tasks to help maintain good data governance and accurate reporting, and take part in diagnosing data issues alongside senior analysts and other data teams.
  • Use AI-assisted tools, where appropriate and in line with company guidelines, to support data analytics tasks such as query drafting, data exploration, documentation, summarization, and workflow efficiency.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders contributing to the data-driven storytelling.
  • Participate in team initiatives, including supporting the migration to Databricks through assigned tasks such as testing, documentation, validation, or dashboard/query updates.

Qualifications

What you'll bring

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a technical or quantitative discipline (Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field).
  • Familiarity with SQL querying and data mining concepts; 
  • Advanced Excel knowledge (Pivot Table)<
  • Technically savvy, quick learner and curious.
  • Collaborative mindset with good communication skills.
  • Organized and comfortable building technical documentation.
     

Nice to have

  • Exposure to tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Teradata, or Hive.
  • Knowledge of Python and/or R
  • Familiarity with VBA or scripted data connections
  • Interest in or exposure to AI tools or AI-assisted workflows for tasks such as writing SQL queries, analyzing datasets, documenting processes, or summarizing findings 
  • Experience with Business Intelligence visualization tools, including Power BI (primary), Tableau, Looker, etc
  • Passion for Video Games Industry
