Based in Osaka, Japan, the studio formerly known as Digital Kids was acquired by Ubisoft in 2008. Since then, the studio built up a wealth of experience developing for console, handheld, and mobile platforms. The studio released many successful titles, notably for the Petz® brand, and worked on games for a number of high profile partners including Tetris®, The Smurfs™, and The Disney Channel. Ubisoft Osaka collaborated with the Ubisoft San Francisco studio on the development of South Park™ The Fractured But Whole™ and the Rocksmith® franchise. Job Description
The Ubisoft, Osaka Studio is seeking a full-time Audio Engineer. We are looking for a highly talented, motivated, and experienced person for a new multiplatform AAA project.
You will work on cutting-edge engine technology, expanding audio subsystems and integrating sound into gameplay to deliver exciting game experiences.
You will be a part of a collaboration-oriented team where you will have the opportunity to contribute in meaningful ways.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Design, implement, and debug audio systems for game development
Develop and improve audio integration with the game while supporting the audio team in their day-to-day job functions.
Collaborate to develop systems/tools to allow audio designers to further realize their artistic aural goals.
Responsible for documenting audio systems and educating the content creators in audio best practices.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Solid engineering/programming background in C++ as well as OO design principles
Solid experience with Audiokinetic WWise
Experience developing audio systems
Strong organizational skills and outstanding communication skills
Experience working in a multithreaded environment
Previous experience as an audio or core engineer on 1+ AAA title
Preferred Experience:
Experience with DSP and audio signal analysis
A passion for games
Experience with console development (PS4, Xbox One, etc.)
