As a Senior Environment Artist you are passionate about crafting beautiful assets that come together, giving shape to immersive spaces that transport players to unique worlds. You have an eye for scale, perspective and detail, and love to breathe life into creative concepts and ideas while defining experiences and quality.


In this role, you will:

  • Design and development of visual aspects of the game in close collaboration with the Art Director and Lead Artist

  • Production of final game assets of consistent high quality

  • Creating immersive lighting and environmental effects

  • Work with Lead Artist to set up and maintain environment art pipelines and workflows

  • Maintaining high proficiency in established art pipeline and collaborating with other disciplines of the team in troubleshooting it and/or designing improvements as needed

  • Mentoring and motivating artists working in their defined areas

  • Monitoring progress and quality of art produced by assigned art resources to maintain consistent art style

  • Ensuring milestone goals are met on time and to requirements

  • Assisting in creation and risk-management of Milestone goals for assigned project area

  • Supporting and assisting Producer and Art Director in any other required duties

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • 5+ yearsโ€™ experience modelling high quality environments

  • Expert understanding of how to build environments in AAA game development

  • Collaborative mindset while working closely with other departments to find and propose solutions for the betterment of the game

  • Strong art sensibilities related to colour, composition, and scale

  • Good knowledge about colour theory and basic lighting techniques

  • Self-motivated - can execute the vision for the level until completion in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Full understanding of modelling as demonstrated by the ability to create high quality architecture and organic models

  • Strong polygonal modelling skills- able to generate clean and efficient models

  • Thorough knowledge and proficiency using 3D modeling packages, including but not limited to 3D Studio Max and Maya

  • Thorough knowledge and efficiency using 2D art creation/manipulation packages, including but not limited to Photoshop
