Your Mission

As a VFX Intern, you will work with an incredible team creating cutting edge visual effects on some of the biggest games in the world! Your effects will help guide the player, enhance the story telling of the world, and will frequently be explosive (pun intended).

You will build relationships with people in other departments and participate in a studio culture that values collaboration and learning. You will work with a mentor on a shipping title, and earn a AAA credit in the process. This role is anticipated to be assigned to work fully on-site at our Southbank, Melbourne studio.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Create visual effects with an awesome team

  • Respond to feedback and iterate on effects to achieve AAA levels of polish

  • Collaborate with other departments like animation, lighting, and audio

Player Profile

The ideal candidate for this role…

  • Has experience with real time VFX editors such as Unreal’s Cascade/ Niagara or Unity’s Shuriken/ VFX Graph.

  • Has experience with art tools such as Maya, Houdini, Photoshop etc.

  • Has a passion for problem solving

  • Is eager to learn new skills and work collaboratively!
