The Senior Product Designer, Mobile and XR, plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of our most captivating platforms. Drawing upon your expertise in spatial and mobile-native patterns, you will craft immersive UI designs for our user facing roblox products. Your focus will primarily be on refining our mobile and XR interfaces, but your innovations will extend to our overarching platform, establishing universal design patterns across all Roblox surfaces.
You will spearhead the development of Mobile and XR centers of excellence, offering comprehensive guidelines and documentation to empower UI creators within the Roblox team and our expansive creator community. Your contributions will enrich our central design systems, enhancing the fundamental components that underpin our platform's architecture.
You Will:
Design feature adaptations that take advantage of native mobile and XR platforms specific capabilities and patterns to create immersive experiences
Contribute to our universal design system and language with a focus of expertise on mobile and XR
Prototype with low-fidelity methods, like sketching and wireframes, and high-fidelity methods
Create detailed design spec both product features and universal components
Write key documentation that drives best-in-class guidance in the mobile and XR spaces for internal Roblox designers and external creators
Drive design rationale from user needs and have a basic understanding user research methodology
You will report to the Design Systems Lead
You Have:
Bachelor's Degree in Product Design or related field
5+ years experience with developer tools, user-generated content tools, or a related design field
Experience shipping product on cross-functional teams that consist of Product Managers, Engineers, User Researchers, and Data Scientists
You Are:
A systems-level design thinker, driving designs from principles and sharing your systematic approach with others
An excellent craftsperson with a keen eye for all manner of design details from typography & visual hierarchy to micro interactions
A learner, going deep to understand the game engine underpinnings and how they translate to key user experiences
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
