The HR Business Partner team supports efforts to improve Riot’s company culture, increase morale, advocate employee engagement efforts, partner on employee relations issues, performance management, coaching, organizational issues and the development of leaders and managers. The group partners across the broader HR department and the company to provide value to management and the employees.

As a HR Coordinator reporting to the Sr Director, HRBPs, you will work closely with HRBPs, People Team Operations and other People Team Partners to ensure People Team processes and services are delivered with excellence. You’ll continually seek process improvements, share key takeaways across the team, and support initiatives. You will have a unique opportunity to gain visibility into different parts of the company and to enter into the HR generalist function at Riot Games.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as super user of HRIS/Workday for transactions, regular and ad hoc reporting
  • Liaise with various HRBPs and People Team partners, including Benefits, Payroll and Legal to manage and resolve day to day employee issues
  • Manage HR distribution lists, shared drives, maintain the HR team's calendar (schedule meetings, HR events etc.), scheduling and logistics for meetings, coordinate meeting agendas and follow-up on action items
  • Maintain and update organization charts; support audit requests as needed
  • Serve as project coordinator for annual People Programs; track, prepare status updates, synthesizes data/outcomes into a cohesive story
  • Formulate methods to improve processes and practices as well as recommending changes
  • Contribute to and/or lead People Team projects
  • Assist with HR Business Partner work, helping project and programs in talent management and annual HR initiatives (performance reviews, compensation planning, etc.)

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience working closely with HR professionals and systems
  • Exceptional follow-through and attention to detail
  • Experience supporting organizations with at least 500 employees or more; proven track record of ability and willingness to take on the administrative duties, heavy workflow processing
  • Excellent collaborator; exceptional communication skills, with a proven track record of communicating at all levels of the organization
  • Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed
  • Proven capability of working with partners to develop, implement and audit HR programs, initiatives, systems, policies, and procedures
  • Strong result-orientation and problem-solving skills to ensure optimal Rioter experience
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, G-Suite tools (email, calendar, shared docs, etc.), and instant messaging tools - Slack experience is a plus!
  • Knowledge of human resources operations and best practices
  • Hands on experience in using databases and HRIS systems

Desired Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting an HR department
  • Any additional training and certification in Human Resource Management will be considered an advantage
  • For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work. Being a dedicated fan of games is not necessary for this position.
