The Finance team at Riot is dedicated to helping Riot's senior leadership make the best decisions for Players. Our team consists of experts from a variety of finance backgrounds with a shared focus on providing Riot leaders with an understanding of the financial impact of meaningful decisions. As a Strategic Finance Associate, you will work with Rioters from APAC finance, other APAC functions, and broader Finance groups (e.g., Strat Fin, Accounting, Tax & Treasury) to execute strategy, improve systems and deliver best practices around FP&A. You will be responsible for supporting the region in ensuring that the region has a financial plan that aligns with the strategies of the region and Riot, has a detailed budget that enables the execution of that plan, and has financial and accounting systems / processes / modeling that ensure appropriate financial governance and optimise financial performance for the region and across Riot.

You will report to the Director of APAC Strategic Finance and work closely with regional finance leadership on developing and tracking against regional goals.


  • Support regional leadership in managing / reviewing existing milestones and developing business cases for new initiatives (e.g., validation of size of opportunity / strategic fit, vetting of business models / resourcing plans).

  • Support the development and planning of strategies, scenario modelling across all lines of business through analysis and research, transforming insights into cost improvement initiatives.

  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports outlining financial data with clear narrative for the Director of Strategic Finance and stakeholders.

  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, regional government/tax incentives, market dynamics and competitive landscape to identify risks and opportunities.

  • Ensure regional business units / verticals have strong alignment between the BU-level strategy and regional budget, that they are supported from a financial standpoint, and understand how they fit into the region’s overall financial strategy

  • Drive continuous process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance function.

  • Support the strategic planning and forecasting process for the region, helping the regional Director of Strategic Finance to develop effective plans and budgets; refine financial measures of success, while providing input and analysis of new and existing business initiatives

  • Work with strategic advisory capabilities at the region (e.g., research, analytics, business strategy) to support analyses and inform recommendations to region and BU leadership.

  • Collaborate with Strategic Finance and other key finance personnel to drive and execute Riot’s finance vision and strategy

  • Work with other strategic finance personnel on shared financial plans, deliverables and rituals (e.g., Riot’s strategic planning & forecasting process, Riot-wide vP&L, quarterly business reviews, reports for Board of Directors).

  • Work with Enterprise teams (e.g., Tax, Treasury, Concur / Expenses) on administrative activities.


  • BA/BS and/or MBA degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related fields

  • 5+ years of professional experience working in Management Consulting, Private Equity or Finance in complex, large-scale global organizations

  • Proficiency in translating high-level ideas into robust and dynamic financial models

  • High levels of curiosity and attention to detail; high degree of comfort moving between projects and facing uncertainty; ability to evolve/innovate when facing risk and change

  • Ability to work autonomously; can proactively prioritize tasks and raise red flags as necessary; ability to quickly reorient and identify critical next steps

  • Experience working with other teammates in a growing and ever-evolving organization; ability to maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude that inspires confidence and motivates teammates to meet challenges head-on

  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets
