As an Esports Production Manager, you will be responsible for the management and allocation of Esports Content Services budgets and resources.
You will be responsible for all bidding, vetting, vendor selection, contracting, and procurement that is needed for event and broadcast production.
The ideal candidate for the Esports Production Manager is an excellent communicator/relationship builder, a detail-oriented problem solver, and a subject matter expert in event/broadcast production who can thrive in a cross-cultural environment.
Responsibilities
Implement and maintain resource allocation systems and processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and tracking of resources and budgets.
Oversee internal allocation of budget within Content Services Group - ensuring that Broadcast, Broadcast Tech, Events, and Contents teams are appropriately resourced.
Acts as main POC for internal and external partners to collaborate on all pre-production needs for the planning and operating of VCT, LCK, and global esports events within our region.
Oversee and manage the purchasing processes from start to finish, including vendor management, bidding, sourcing, and contract review, with a focus on cost savings and process improvements.
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives, and support sustainable growth by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams within the Esports pillar.
Ensures all partner and vendor agreements are negotiated appropriately and create payment schedules for all production related contracts.
Participate in special projects as needed, which include but are not limited to evaluating current processes/vendors, supporting our Global Events team in vetting local vendors, and providing input for strategic budgeting.
Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors to ensure the best quality, price, and delivery of goods and services, negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
Develop the bidding process for major production purchases and contribute to support the coordination with vendors to ensure a smooth process, utilizing best practices and market knowledge to achieve optimal results.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in Project Management, Event Management, or Procurement/Purchasing
Demonstrated experience in taking ownership of complex issues and driving solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to take the initiative and be responsible for a high level of accuracy in all job-related activities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and teams.
In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and policies related to procurement and vendor management.
Experience with vendor management and negotiations.
Experience creating RFPs and managing the bidding process.
Fluent in English and Korean
Desired Qualifications
Past experience in large scale production projects (experience in both Korea and abroad preferred).
Technical knowledge of production and production equipment.
Experience in the video game industry and/or esports preferred.
