Job Responsibilities :

The Senior Cybersecurity Specialist is responsible for safeguarding the organization’s enterprise and cloud environments by leading advanced security operations, threat detection, and incident response activities. This role applies strong technical expertise to identify, analyze, and mitigate cyber risks across on‑premises and cloud infrastructures, with particular emphasis on AWS environments and modern threat landscapes.

The Senior Cybersecurity Specialist acts as a subject matter expert in cybersecurity operations, vulnerability management, and defensive security controls, while also leveraging offensive security knowledge to proactively identify weaknesses and improve the organization’s security posture. The role collaborates closely with cloud, infrastructure, application, and governance teams to ensure security controls are implemented effectively and aligned with organizational policies and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents across enterprise and cloud environments.

  • Lead technical incident response activities, including investigation, containment, remediation, and post‑incident analysis.

  • Perform vulnerability assessments and risk evaluations using offensive security perspectives (e.g., attacker techniques, exploitation methods, adversary tactics).

  • Support and enhance security controls within AWS, including Identity and Access Management (IAM) Network security and segmentation Logging, monitoring, and threat detection Secure cloud configuration and governance.

  • Analyze alerts from SIEM, EDR/XDR, cloud security platforms, and threat detection systems.

  • Collaborate with cloud engineering and DevOps teams to promote security‑by‑design and reduce configuration and deployment risks.

  • Identify opportunities to improve security operations through automation and process optimization.

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of security standards, procedures, and incident response playbooks.

  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior cybersecurity staff.

Pre-Requisites :

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or security engineering roles.

  • Strong working knowledge of AWS cloud security, including shared responsibility model IAM and privilege management Cloud networking and security controls Logging, monitoring, and threat detection in AWS.

  • Solid understanding of core security domains, including Network and endpoint security Identity and access management Vulnerability management Security monitoring and incident handling.

  • Hands‑on experience investigating and responding to complex cyber incidents

  • Knowledge of offensive security principles, common attack techniques, and adversary behaviors.

  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Benchmarks.

Preferred / Additional Advantages

  • Experience or exposure to offensive security activities, such as penetration testing, red team exercises, or attack simulations.

  • Experience with AWS security services (e.g., GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail).

  • Experience or exposure to AI‑enabled security tools, machine‑learning‑based detection, or behavioral analytics in cybersecurity platforms.

  • Ability to design or leverage security automation, including SOAR workflows Automated incident response or alert enrichment Scripting or automation for security operations efficiency.

  • Security‑related certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, OSCP, CEH, CISSP) are an advantage.

  • English language proficiency is a plus, particularly for documentation, stakeholder communication, vendor engagement, and cross‑regional collaboration.

  • Experience working in regulated or large‑scale enterprise environments is beneficial

  • Vietnamese citizen based in Ho Chi Minh City.
