Summary:
This candidate will play a pivotal role in helping deliver highest quality releases for the PlayStation Plus applications specifically for mobile and web based product offerings. This person will help in the manual testing and work with other testing tools to further help integrate into the larger QA strategy as part of the PlayStation team.
Responsibilities:
Create Test Plans, Test Cases and Execute them to ensure the quality of new and existing features
Engage with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to understand new business needs and feature sets and develop comprehensive test and release plans
Report, track, and verify defects and assess severity externally reported bugs
Review product requirements and technical design documents to understand how the feature works on the PlayStation ecosystem and create effective testing strategies
Report testing status to various stakeholders in team
Determine and generate test data, scenarios, and requirements
Support automation team with running , troubleshooting and managing automated test cases
Engage in cross-team test initiatives for new and evolving features
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge
5+ years of experience in delivering quality for various types of software products and applications
Extensive background in Quality Engineering methodologies and practices
Experience with testing mobile applications
Ability to learn and understand the functionality of multiple applications and systems under test and achieve proficiency in related technologies and tools required for testing
Strong time management and task prioritization skills
Experience with Agile Methodologies
Experience with command line interface or equivalent GUI and/or Integrated development environment to build and deploy test builds
Practical experience using development and deployment tools such as Git, Jenkins
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Able to work both independently and collaboratively as needed
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of using CI/CD tools and technologies for automated tests executions
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools
Experience with Selenium or Appium
Experience working with automation test development environment and supporting automation team
Intermediate knowledge and experience testing APIs and Service-Oriented architecture
Experience with at least one modern web application framework, preferably React
At SIE, working with our partners, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. Please note that the individual base pay range may vary based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role is eligible for benefit offerings that include medical, dental, and vision.
The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below, this is an hourly rate.
$58—$87 USD
