Partner Development Manager
San Mateo, CA / Hybrid
The Partner Development Manager role will be part of the team responsible for supporting a large and growing set of independent partners of various scales, as well as identifying new and emerging partners.
Partner happiness is key, and as the first line of contact for a broad set of independent partners, you will be an evangelist for PlayStation, establishing the tone for positive working relationships and ensuring a good impression. You will cultivate preferred partner relationships and help grow our business.
The Partner Development Manager role will require a keen eye for quality content and partners to be able to identify new titles that have strategic or commercial attributes and advocate for projects that could be candidates for more formal opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
Responsible for responding to prospective “new to PlayStation” partners as well as initiative-taking outreach to unregistered partners to solicit bringing their quality content to PlayStation platforms.
Works with business operations teams (onboarding, training, help center) to support, educate and direct partners to systems and tools that can efficiently resolve inquiries in a scalable way.
Identifies compelling content only on other platforms and educates the independent partner on the ease of bringing the content to PlayStation.
Identifies and advances quality independent partner content, at scale, to the Manager of Independent Partners, the Portfolio team, and the Services team.
Measures success in supporting new content and partners on the platform.
Helps new partners through the onboarding process.
Participates in the process for scouting new content and partners at trade shows and developer events.
What we're looking for:
Bachelor degree in Business or Marketing, or commensurate experience.
5+ years in an external partner facing position (e.g., sales, account management, partner relations).
Communication, presentation, and relationship management skills at all levels.
Negotiation and facilitation skills.
Extensive games development and publishing experience, or comparable media / entertainment / technology industries.
Regional market expertise with commercial competence and critical thinker
Data literate and globally minded.
Domestic and International travel required.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role is eligible for SIE’s top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program and coveted employee discounts for Sony products. The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$115,800 — $173,600 USD
