Role overview:
We have an exciting opportunity to join Sony Interactive Entertainment, PlayStation. We seek an enthusiastic SWQA Junior Software Engineerto work within the SWQA (Software Quality Assurance) department. SWQA focus on ensuring pre-release software is thoroughly tested before release to the public.
You will be joining our Liverpool based SWQA team as a SWQA Junior Software Engineer. You will work alongside other teams based in multiple geographic regions and time zones, including the wider SWQA team based in Tokyo.
We have an ongoing commitment to nurture and develop your talent. You will have access to comprehensive training materials, including a focused training period when you start with us.
What you'll be doing:
Working in an Agile team testing best in class enterprise applications that are critical to the core of PlayStation’s business.
Take ownership of and support the applications that your team deliver.
Collaborating with developers and product owners, as well as the Global SWQA team.
Contributing to planning and design, reviewing product code.
Formulating test scenarios, creating test data and ensuring adequate test coverage
Develop and Improve test automation frameworks.
Automate test scenarios using the frameworks.
Knowing and using design patterns where appropriate.
Setting up the infrastructure to run tests, as well, setting up dashboards for reporting test results in real time.
Developing tools to assist manual and exploratory testing and performing manual and exploratory testing when required.
Testing non-functional requirements including performance, security, and accessibility.
Build infrastructure that ensures business continuity
What we're looking for:

Cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure)
Test Automation Tools (e.g. Selenium, WebdriverIO, Jest, Puppeteer, Cucumber)
Test Management Tools (e.g. ALM, qTest, JIRA)
Modern JavaScript (e.g. ES6, React.js, Node.js)
Server-side Languages (e.g. Java, Python, Go, C#)
Git, Jira and Confluence
Unix/Linux
