As a member of the QA team at PDS, you will help us deliver the best possible games by testing our Grand Strategy titles in various stages of development. As an Embedded QA you will be part of the development teams for titles such as Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, Stellaris & Crusader Kings, where we test and analyze every aspect of the game.
About the role
You will be doing traditional bug-testing as well as supporting the developers by providing feedback on soft values such as game design and the general fun factor of the game. Your daily work will entail assigning tasks to our outsourced test partners, identifying priorities, and relaying information between internal and external teams as needed. This means you need to be apt at interpersonal skills, to be able to nurture relationships with the developers and communicate feedback that is constructive and relevant. Skill development in areas such as leadership and mentorship to others is encouraged, so our team can collectively spread their passion for quality.
It would benefit you in this role to have an analytical mindset and strong attention to detail while retaining the ability to take a step back and see the full picture. Requirements
- Experience working in Quality Assurance, ideally on games or other entertainment software
- Experience in or high level of knowledge of the entire game development cycle
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Proficiency with bug reporting tools such as Mantis or JIRA
- Strong analytical skills in reviewing all design-related information and interpreting areas of risk in testing
- If you have experience playing Paradox Grand Strategy titles it will be considered a strong advantage
