Twisted Pixel Games is seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior Technical Artist capable of tackling a wide variety of technical art tasks within the game development pipeline. The ideal candidate will have an extensive knowledge of Maya, current gen game engines such as UE or Unity, and be well versed in modern technical art standards and practices. They should contribute a high level of creativity and personality, have a team-oriented/collaborative approach to development, and be interested in doing what it takes to make the best games possible.
Senior Technical Artist - Twisted Pixel Responsibilities
Create and maintain robust and complex rigs for characters and various assets used throughout the game.
Contribute to the development of tools, scripts and workflow improvements for the various disciplines on the art team.
Author complex materials and VFX using node based toolsets found in modern engines (UE, Unity etc).
Contribute to the development of the project directly utilizing any secondary skill sets such as animation, modeling/texturing or visual programming.
Assist in driving performance and optimization initiatives across the project.
Work closely with Art Directors and Leads to ensure the highest quality assets are delivered.
Model inclusive behaviors to help build and support a diverse organization that values, respects, and taps into different backgrounds and perspectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience rigging and skinning in Maya or similar 3D applications.
Scripting experience in Python, Blueprint or other related technology.
Proficient in at least one secondary skill set such as animation, material authoring, VFX creation, lighting or Modeling.
Demonstrated time management skills (for assigned tasks) and the experience to handle large workloads efficiently.
Proactive about making things happen.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in game development as a Technical Artist with successful shipped game experience.
Experience with UE4/5 materials and VFX tools directly.
Experience with motion capture within a Maya pipeline.
Experience with performance analytics and benchmarking tools across a variety of platforms.
Experience in creating final assets across multiple additional art related disciplines such as animation, modeling or lighting.
