Software Engineering Intern, Test Automation — Autonomous Vehicles

Munich, BY, Germany · Entry (0–1 years) · Full Time / Internship ·

NVIDIA is powering the AI revolution. One of the most exciting applications of our AI capabilities is in Autonomous Driving. Autonomous vehicles demand the highest standards of safety and reliability — and the test infrastructure behind them must match that bar.

We are looking for a highly motivated intern to join our ADAS Engineering team, with a focus on automating testing workflows for validation of ADAS Software on the test-benches and accelerating triaging of issues through intelligent log analysis. You will work alongside a world-class team of engineers to build the tools and frameworks that make our ADAS validation pipeline faster, smarter, and more scalable.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Designing and implementing automated test frameworks for ADAS functions, focusing on automating the workflow to test ADAS on the test- benches

  • Building automated log analysis pipelines based on cutting edge LLMs to parse, classify, and triage relevant failures from in-vehicle and simulation runs — reducing manual triage time

  • Developing scripts and tools to detect regressions, anomalies, and performance degradations across large volumes of test logs and sensor data

  • Integrating test automation tooling into existing CI/CD infrastructure to enable continuous validation of ADAS software changes

What We Need to See:

  • Pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Robotics

  • Strong Python programming skills; experience writing production- quality scripts for data processing or test automation

  • Familiarity with Linux-based development environments and shell scripting (Bash)

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and GitLab

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work through ambiguous failure scenarios and communicate findings clearly

Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd:

  • Prior exposure to test automation frameworks

  • Experience with C++ in an embedded or automotive software context

  • Familiarity with automotive data formats (e.g., MDF, ROS bags) or in-vehicle bus protocols (CAN, Ethernet)

NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world's most desirable employers. We are at the forefront of AI, autonomous systems, and high-performance computing — and our ADAS team sits at the intersection of all three. If you are passionate about making autonomous vehicles safer and smarter, we want to hear from you.
