DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Prepares Consolidated Federal and State income tax returns and related schedules using tax compliance software
Prepares tax provision and reporting schedules
Calculates quarterly Federal and State estimated income tax payments
Compiles state apportionment data and reports
Assists with income tax research and planning
Compiles data and documentation to assist with tax projects
Reconciles tax-related general ledger accounts
Prepares tax depreciation reports
Performs complex tax accounting functions, including identifying areas of tax planning
Researches Federal and State tax issues and assists in providing recommendations to management
Researches and prepares responses to State correspondence, notices and questionnaires
Identifies opportunities for increased efficiencies and accuracy
SUMMARY OR REQUIREMENTS:
2-7 years of related experience
Intermediate or higher level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Excel4Apps, RIA, & BNA
Specific experience with OneSource Tax or other similar tax software
Acute attention to detail
Strong organization skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Excellent analytical, problem solving skills
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills in order to interact with finance staff and senior management
** This is a CONTRACT position
This contract position has a base pay range of $38.62 - $48.83 per hour and is eligible for benefits through the employing agency. Agency benefits may include medical, dental and vision, 401(k), basic/supplemental life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, health and dependent care spending accounts, transportation benefits, employee assistance program, paid sick leave, and up to 6 paid holidays per year.
