Shiver (a Nintendo company) is a boutique game developer based in warm and sunny Miami, Florida. Our small team is made up of highly talented individuals who enjoy working together to make great games. We focus on console (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox) and PC development of high-profile titles with our most recent release being Hogwarts Legacy for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.
We are looking for a full-time onsite experienced C++ programmer to join our software engineering team.
As part of our studio, you will work on many different facets of our games, coupling your interests with the needs of the project. The ideal candidate will have a desire to work with core and low-level systems and be excellent at debugging. They will have a passion for games and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with a tight-knit team to create games that will surprise and delight players. SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
Strong C++ game programming and debugging skills
Experience in optimization, low-level programming and game development
Ability to write performant code in a multitude of different area
Passion for games, programming, and continuous learning
An eye for quality, consistency, and attention to detail
Excellent work ethic and ability to deliver assignments on time
Good written and spoken English
Nice to Haves
Knowledge and experience with Unreal Engine or other proprietary game engines
Graphics programming using shader languages and platform-specific graphics APIs
Experience with multi-threaded systems
Strong knowledge in math, linear algebra, and physics
BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with GPA of 3.5 or higher
2+ years of professional experience writing software in C++
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States to be considered. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
This is an onsite position located in Miami, Florida and is not hybrid nor open to remote work. Onsite positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division.
