DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Reviews, and identifies bugs with consideration for value to the player and partner developers
Creates tools to optimize or automate daily testing
Supports Technicians in maintaining inventory of Nintendo software and hardware
Organizes and maintains Nintendo hardware and software for daily use by testing staff
Provides technical support to members of Lotcheck
Guides and evaluates associate (temporary) team members, mentoring peers, provide internal partners with associate performance feedback.
Advises training teams in testing best practices and facilitates Lotcheck learning when needed.
Understands and contributes to Product Testing Department’s (PTD) role in the development process
Communicates with internal testing teams, external development partners, and global business partners (Nintendo of Europe | Nintendo of Japan).
Collects, and analyzes daily test metrics to improve on testing process, and curates documentation
Creates, follows, and maintains project checklists or test suites as needed
Adheres to strict corporate prototype security policies and procedures
Identifies missing test cases to ensure complete testing coverage of the project and guidelines
Coordinates day to day tasks to support future state goals and delegates to associate staff to ensure on-time delivery.
Applies knowledge of core gameplay loops and programming for proprietary testing and tracking tools to anticipate areas of likely bugs.
Performs other temporary projects/duties as assigned by Leadership to meet departmental & business needs.
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
Subject matter expertise in all the following areas
Ad-hoc/Exploratory Testing
Nintendo Platform Guidelines
Test Automation
Three plus years of game testing or development experience
Strong familiarity with MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
Familiarity with web development languages
Excellent understanding of Japanese business culture and etiquette
Excellent verbal/written communication skills, problem solving and cross-group collaboration
Ability to coordinate and prioritize concurrent activities, while also flexible, adaptable, and proactive in oral and written communications.
Proven ability to generate and deliver reports that provide useful insight into project details
Highly organized and detail-oriented with a passion for ensuring projects proceed efficiently and effectively.
Strong technical skills including excellent understanding of software development methodologies
Strong business acumen in assisting with project planning and delivery
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience or certifications
Valid passport may be required.
This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This position includes a base pay range of $30.70 - $46.05 per hour, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
