DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Supports product launch activities, community outreach, consumer messaging, and branding initiatives
Supports planning and execution of ongoing services for pre/post-launch, digital content, online account promotions, in-game events, online and physical competition events, and ongoing marketing campaigns.
Prepares comprehensive product content outlines. Leverages product knowledge and data driven insights to influence campaign strategy and tactics.
Educates and demonstrates products to internal and external on product features.
Monitors consumer reaction and PR effectiveness, and provides analytical reports
Works and collaborates cross functionally with various stakeholders including Nintendo Company Ltd. (NCL),
Pokémon Company International (TPCi), outside partners, internal teams, and media
Reviews marketing materials to ensure consistency with game content and campaign strategy; routes marketing materials to NCL Global Marketing team and TPCi for approval and feedback.
Evaluates products and services for quality and marketability and writes product evaluation reports.
May serve as backup to Product and Player Experience Lead for GaaS products as assigned.
Supports and reviews the production of advertising including TV, digital, consumer facing trailers, and print.
May include hosting or starring in videos.
May support complex, high profile launches as part of a team working with leaders and senior specialists.
Demonstrates products in videos, livestreams and live demos in trade show settings.
Contributes to development coordination and communication; performs some administrative duties
Bilingual:
Communicates directly with Japanese development teams, coordinating asset approvals and communicating promotional plans as needed.
Translates written and verbal communications including emails, product evaluations and other documentation, and conference calls with development and promotions teams in Japan.
Performs interpretation for developer interviews with media
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
Two plus years of related experience
Good game play skills and the ability to identify key selling points and marketing opportunities
Strong knowledge of Nintendo and Pokemon IP, franchises, and games
Excellent organization skills with acute attention to detail and accuracy
Strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and MS Teams preferred)
Ability to effectively communicate using multiple methods
Ability to work with highly confidential information
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Historical and current knowledge of the video game industry for home and mobile markets helpful
Familiarity with Japanese business practices
Undergraduate degree in Writing, Communications, Business, a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
Bilingual: Japanese proficiency test Level I or native fluency required
Bilingual: Fluent in English and Japanese with strong bilingual spoken and written communication skills
Valid passport may be required
This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This position includes a base pay range of $33.76 - $50.64 per hour, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
