  • Oversee design and visual branding across all company marketing and internal initiatives.

  • Establish and provide insight, guidance and creative direction for the graphic design team.

  • Review and approve all materials produced by the designers and provides creative guidance and feedback.

  • Troubleshoot design projects with designers to meet business objective and client needs.

  • Working knowledge of print production, color management and to print quality management.

  • Work in close partnership with the Graphic Design Art & Schedule Manager to ensure projects are on time, on budget and reflects branding standards; offers feedback about designers’ creative performance and impact.

  • Collaborate with internal marketing groups and graphic designers to determine the look and feel of campaigns and promotional materials; communicate with Design team as appropriate.

  • Collaborate with other departments to successfully manage and maintain continuity of brands.

  • Participate in client meetings, creative discussions, strategy discussions.

  • Approve art design; reviews and approves design materials created within Nintendo of America (NOA) to ensure Nintendo IP and brand consistency across all company marketing initiatives.

  • Route product design direction to stakeholders for approval and coordinate with design team to finalize.

  • Manage the creation of various brand and style guidelines

  • Hire and train designers and supports their growth and development

  • Art direct photo shoots


  • Eight or more years of related experience

  • Two to three years of leadership experience

  • Graphic design experience in the video gaming industry

  • Art Director experience on large advertising or marketing campaigns

  • Demonstrated experience managing teams through large graphic design and production projects

  • Strong technical knowledge of the video game design and development process

  • Strong leadership skill

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill

  • Extensive knowledge of Apple platform computer software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign)

  • Familiarity with other programs (Microsoft Office) as well as custom internal programs

  • Superior understanding of marketing and advertising principles

  • Demonstrated experience in managing a team to tight schedules in a fast-paced environment

  • Undergraduate degree in Graphic Design, Art, Advertising, a related field, or equivalent experience

This position includes a base salary range of $112,712 - $169,068 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
