INTERN – PUBLIC RELATIONS

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Work with Nintendo’s Public Relations team, which focuses on generating positive coverage around the Nintendo brand and its products, on highly visible news beats, industry events and integrated marketing campaigns for games
Responsibilities would include contributing to the creation of select press materials, supporting the team in brainstorming and providing creative input on campaign tactics, and shadowing or supporting event logistics
Research projects such as how the gaming media landscape has evolved over the years, providing key insights and a fresh perspective on key trends and changes that can be applied to Nintendo public relations strategies
Collaborate with the broader Communications team and agency partners to gain experience integrating PR with influencer, celebrity, and social media marketing around Nintendo products
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program with a graduation conferral date between May 2024 and June 2025
Pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Project Management/Business, or related fields
Familiar with Project Management methodologies
Familiarity with social media and influencer marketing preferred
Strong verbal and written communication
Intermediate in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Understanding of OneDrive & SharePoint is a plus
Understanding of Nintendo’s products is preferred but not necessary
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Able to work 40 hours a week onsite throughout the course of the 11-week summer internship between June – September
This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time.
This internship includes a base pay range of $30 per hour, paid sick and safe time, and perks such as a local transit pass and access to the onsite fitness center. Given the limited duration of the role, interns are not eligible for full-time employee benefits such as healthcare or 401(k).
