Our Business Affairs Department currently has a vacancy for an Audit & Risk Management Officer to join their team on a full-time basis.

Reporting into the Manager – Audit & Risk Management and working closely with the Business Affairs department, managers, and team members of other departments, this role is responsible for supporting JSOX compliance, operational audits, and risk management.

Key requirements for the role include:

  • Assisting the Manager – Audit & Risk Management to meet all JSOX compliance deliverables by required deadlines as determined by head office (on-the-job training will be provided).

  • Providing accurate and timely responses to requests from the Head Office Audit Department.

  • Assisting and supporting the Manager – Audit & Risk Management to prepare annual Audit Plans and Test Plans.

  • Conducting fieldwork as per an outlined test plan and report findings to the audit team.

  • Developing strong working relationships with relevant members of the business, utilising these relationships to gradually gain an understanding of key processes and risks in a department, and work with department managers to improve business processes (on-the-job training will be provided).

  • Assisting department managers to document their department risks in risk registers and to update their internal control manuals.

  • Due to the nature of the role, flexibility to accommodate reasonable additional hours during peak periods to meet compliance deadlines may be required.

To succeed in the role, you will require:

  • A qualification in Information Technology or similar is required.

  • A professional certification such as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly desirable.

  • Overall knowledge and understanding of the IT control environment is essential.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in auditing (e.g. ITGC controls).

  • We are also open to hiring candidates with a Business Analyst background with an understanding of audit, risk, and controls.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) is desirable.

  • Proven report writing skills, including the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative.

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
