DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Collaborates with Product Development staff to brainstorm creative ideas in support of product launch and other marketing initiatives
Aligns with internal teams to select and capture game footage and decide final edit of game-footage segments for TV commercials and to create video assets for use in online marketing materials
Produces localized and original content marketing material for use in social platforms, cinema, linear television, web, on device, and retail distribution
Collaborates with internal marketing teams, and external agency partners to develop creative concepts and scripts for promotional trailers, TV commercials, and other content aligned to approved campaign strategy, and see those projects through from conception to delivery
Works with senior members of Content Lab as well as Development and Localization teams to gain knowledge on previous games in franchises
Works with outside vendors to source music and voice talent for use in high-end video production
Facilitates file transfers with Nintendo Company Limited (NCL), Nintendo of Europe (NOE), Engineering, Product Testing, remote offices and marketing agencies
Be able to receive, analyze and prioritize constructive feedback from various groups and implement it in a timely manner
Maintains a high level of knowledge of and familiarity with new video production trends, technology, equipment, software and distribution channels
Maintains Mac desktop/laptop and audio/video equipment
May assist with producing live programming such as Nintendo Treehouse Live and NintendoVS competitive gaming events streamed on Nintendo channels and accounts across streaming services (Twitch, YouTube, Twitter Live, others)
May assist with filming live-action footage for use in Nintendo Directs and other content marketing initiatives
Assist Localization with editing and synching of voice recordings and video footage for in-game cinematic scenes for use in retail game products
GAME FOCUS
Directs and participates in gameplay footage capture sessions to generate game assets necessary for game and marketing content production
Collaborates with Online Marketing staff to produce game footage and video assets required across owned and earned channels
Collaborates with the retail marketing to create still/video game-based content for in-store retail interactives, POP and retailer websites
Works with internal design staff to produce screenshots for product packaging, digital manuals, and/or promotional inserts
Produces video assets for Nintendo owned e-Commerce channels, including but not limited to the Nintendo eShop and the My Nintendo store
NEW MEDIA FOCUS
Collaborates with Communications and Social Media teams to develop content and assets for unique target audiences and social media platforms
Edits content specifically designed around the unique aspects of various social media platforms
Assists AV producer in acquiring art assets, game footage, and any material needed to complete projects
Assists in scheduling of recording and filming sessions
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
Three years minimum of related experience focused on editing trailers and presentations, TV commercials, web content, etc.
Strong experience with non-linear audio/video editing programs and graphic design programs (Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Studio)
Ability to use and convert multiple media formats/codecs
Ability to perform basic audio mixing and sweetening for video production
Ability to work with basic motion graphics and animation
Familiarity with media file types and data compression techniques/codecs (including Apple ProRes, H.264, WebM, etc.)
Strong knowledge of Mac OS X computers and working knowledge of PC equipment, software, and terminology
Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with constantly changing priorities
Knowledge of NTSC broadcast standards and practices for linear TV production
Operation and setup knowledge of live production gear such as cameras and switchers perffered
Undergraduate degree preferred, equivalent programs considered
Training in print/video/audio required
This position includes a base pay range of $30.59 - $45.89 per hour, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
