Netflix is a global product and our Globalization team needs to scale to support that. We are currently looking for a Localization Producer to help bring the Netflix gaming experience to international markets.

As a Localization Producer, you oversee the development of games into target languages, ensuring conversion of the titles and all game-related components (metadata, marketing, CS, etc.) into localized versions to meet meaningful translation and international standards. You will use your localization and gaming experience to develop and manage relationships and strategies with game studios and vendors. You will develop and oversee the localization strategy, schedule, budget, and quality targets for your assigned games during the project lifecycle, and proactively identify, prioritize, and mitigate risks and blockers encountered along the way. You will also participate in specific games program initiatives, contributing to building the infrastructure and best practices that enable consistently excellent localization and member experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage localization projects and requirements across internal and external studios and vendors

  • Work cross-functionally with Netflix stakeholders to identify critical business blockers and collaborate to solve and optimize these

  • Oversee end to end localization workflows using our translation management tools and systems

  • Identify and manage project risk through prioritization, bug management, and any other means necessary

  • Manage independent projects within the program

  • Drive high quality output from localization vendors

  • Oversee the localization budget for your projects through gathering data on the cost, timeliness and quality of your projects

  • Kick off project & vertical meetings with cross functional groups for planning

  • Evangelize Globalization to stakeholders

  • Support innovation initiatives like A/B Tests, localization task forces, including info gathering, deliberation, pivoting, viz for results, analysis & optimization of workflows

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, or Masterโ€™s degree, in Localization, Language Studies, or International Studies or equivalent experience as applicable

  • 5+ years of prior buyer-side localization producer/project management/LQA experience, working on projects that involve language launches, software/games, creative content and/or subtitle localization

  • Working knowledge of industry standard localization tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills

  • Bias to action, proactive & innovative by nature

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Solid in-depth knowledge of internationalization is a plus

  • Experience working in games and entertainment is a plus

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $80,000 - $275,000.
