The Localization Producer is responsible for ensuring every development team is delivering localization at the highest level of quality and in line with the standards of the project/company. You will work autonomously, with little supervision in collaboration with other departments to complete the localization process for each title.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Planning, organizing and reviewing localization projects independently, ensuring consistency with timelines and quality. Swiftly identify and resolve any issues for projects or team.
Communicating with Bossfight development teams and localization group to internationalize projects making sure the localization process runs smoothly
Localization asset preparation, coordination and management between Bossfight development teams and various groups within and outside of Netflix
Communicating between localization contact(s) within the localization team, territories, and localization vendors as needed.
Subject matter expert on the localization process various tools used during the development process
Work with the production team to apply common production methodologies to establish, guide, and modify the project process to become more effective and efficient
Drive the completion of established project goals and facilitate communication, organization, and process improvement
Work with team leads to make informed decisions on development pipelines and priorities
Build and maintain ongoing production schedules and resolve dependencies and prioritize tasks to manage risk
Provide documentation of planning meetings, report on progress, ensure alignment and manage expectations with all stakeholders
Partner with the team to help update and maintain a shared library of assets and process documentation
Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions
Skills and Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to implement & drive more effective workflows for teams
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
Familiarity with mark-up languages (e.g. xml, xliff) a plus
Highly organized and can help organize others
Positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback
Able to manage multiple, competing tasks and be self-directed in a quickly evolving environment and meet deadlines
Education and Experience
3 years of experience in games, software or a related role
Knowledge of software internationalization and localization principles
Proven experience in translation, localization or games production
Solid understanding of common production methodologies and best practices and how they apply effectively to game development
Understanding of game team structures and dynamics
Experience with Jira, Excel, Tracking/project management software
Experience working on mobile titles a plus
Experience producing a live service
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Our core hours are 10am to 6:00pm cst, which means the Producer should be available for meetings etc. during this time.
