Motive is looking for a Senior Weapon and Hard surface Modeler to help grow our team of amazing artists. Working closely with the Art Director, artists and partners across the team, you will create high-quality, highly realistic and iconic characters to help deliver outstanding experience to our players.
Responsibilities:
You will sculpt high-resolution weapons
Create clean game topology, UV’s and textures
Work with Production to manage the weapon production's daily activities
Work with other departments to ensure the weapon assets meet the game design needs
Help with character design
Work with the Art Director to enhance the high visual quality of the models
Partner with engineers and tech artists to develop a weapon pipeline
Mentor both our partner teams through feedback
Communicate the visual design of the weapons through art specifications, style guides, and reference materia
Help establish workflows and reference material for outsourcing
Provide feedback to outsourcing partners
Manage the weapon outsourcing pipeline and provide feedback to partners
You will report to the Lead Artist
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in a related field
Previous character experience within a game production environment
Experience with anatomy and fundamental art skills
Maya or similar 3D modeling software
Expert sculpting skills using ZBrush
Experience with hard surface software is a plus (Fusion 360, Plasticity)
Expert knowledge of PBR texture/material workflows
Experience with Marvelous Designer and clothing creation is a plus
Hard surface modeling
Experience with Substance Painter or Mari
Understanding of rigging and skinning
Passion for collaboration with other artists, designers, and programmers
