Maximum Entertainment is currently seeking a Contract Community Manager – Sports to lead community and social media efforts for our upcoming sports game Maximum Football. This individual will be responsible for raising Maximum Football’s awareness across social media channels, engaging the community, and executing content creator campaigns. We are looking for a video game enthusiast who is passionate about building communities, developing content, and has an interest in sports. This role will report to the Senior Brand Manager for the game and is a contract position.

In this role, you will:

  • Grow and foster an active community for Maximum Football across social media channels, Discord and other consumer-facing spaces.

  • Create compelling content and engage in online discussions.

  • Work closely with the Brand team and game developer to create and manage content calendars in alignment with marketing activities to grow Maximum Football’s player base.

  • Strategize and implement community initiatives to drive engagement, player retention, sales, and player interactions.

  • Listen and gather community feedback to prepare actionable insights for the development team.

  • Develop and manage trackable community KPIs for analysis and use learnings to adjust community and social strategy.

  • Grow and manage influencer relationships.

  • Manage external influencer agencies and build organic and paid campaigns.

Ideally, you have:

  • 3+ years of professional experience working in the field of community management, social media, digital marketing, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Proven track record of growing and managing communities through a game’s lifecycle.

  • Strong experience optimizing social media platforms and using social publishing and measurement tools (Sprout Social) to promote video games.

  • Experience in creating social copy, images, and video assets.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Independent self-motivation with strong time management skills.

  • A collaborative, resourceful, and solution-oriented mindset.

  • Success in managing Discord communities, including channel creation, community roles and rules supervision, bot implementation, event organizing, and so on.

  • Good understanding of the sports game community culture and ethos.

  • Passion for sports, particularly football.

  • BA/BS degree in a related field.

Preferred:

  • Established relationships with content creators.

  • Ability to provide analytical and community insights to inform the Brand and development teams about player base sentiment.
