Environment Artist / World Builder
Liquid Development is looking for Environment Artists and World Builders to join our team. You will be working with an experienced team on a variety of triple-A titles bringing levels to life through environmental storytelling! The work will be done in Maya, Blender, Substance, UE4, Unity, and other proprietary engines.

Responsibilities
Adhere to a specific art style and address feedback given by the Art Director or Environment Lead
Collaborate with other artists and world builders to create interesting and immersive environments
Modeling environment geometry from simple level blockout to finished states
UV map and paint custom texture sets or trim sheets for levels
Polish up environments with detail objects, decals, VFX, and other set dressing elements
Requirements
Efficient communication skills
Responsible time management skills
Understanding of how the environment affects game play
Knowledge of 3D applications such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, and zbrush
Experience with a commercial game engine such as Unreal and Unity
Experience within game development crafting playable environments
A keen eye for level design, and the aesthetics for visual storytelling
A strong interest in games and creating game environments
Preferences
Experience building props, both organic and hard surface
Experience integrating assets into Unity / Unreal
Experience with a variety of game engines
Experience working collaboratively with a team
Experience Kit bashing and building modular environments
Good sense of scale and spatial awareness for a player POV
Strong understanding of light, value, composition, color, staging, and detail in environmental design
